Online Data Entry And Ad Watching Jobs Scam In Pakistan

Introduction

The majority of people are suffering due to unemployment and rising inflation in Pakistan. Everyone is looking to make money online through the Internet. This is where scammers have a chance to commit scams with innocent people by offering fake online jobs.

What kinds of online jobs do they offer?

You may seen many advertisements on OLX and Facebook offering to earn 50,000 PKR to 70,000 PKR by doing simple "Data Entry" or "Ad Watching" jobs at home. Also, they claim you can work in flexible hours, or give 2 to 3 hours daily to this work when you are free. So think about it, no job gives you this kind of freedom. This is totally fake and fraudulent.

This fraud starts with attractive ads and posts in which it is written:

• "Urgent Staff Hiring for Data Entry".
• "Simple Typing Work, No Experience Needed".
• "Golden Opportunity for Students and Housewives."
• "Earn Daily 2,000 PKR to 3,000 PKR".

These types of ads scammer post on OLX and Facebook. Because scammers know very well that students, housewives, and jobless people are also finding "Work from home" jobs on these platforms. When needy people see that kind of post, they cannot stop themselves.

Because the scammer mentions in the ad to withdraw your payment on a daily basis in Easypaisa, Jazzcash, or a bank account. At that time, needy people think only that somehow earning 2,000 PKR to 3,000 PKR daily to support their family and themselves. That's why they contact scammers and fall into their trap.

Scammed on the name of Registration & Training Fee

When you contact them at the given WhatsApp number, they talk to you in a very professional manner and say that our company is government-registered. We are working on different projects, out of which we need males and females for ad watching and data entry. The work is very easy. You can do it in your free time. You only have to work for 2 to 3 hours daily. You can earn 30 to 70 thousand rupees monthly. And if you want, you can get a daily payment to your account.

But to start working, you have to register with our company and pay a 1000-rupee registration fee. After that, you can start working, or they say that you will be trained for three days on WhatsApp, so you only have to pay an 800-rupee fee for this training. This is the real scam of these scammers. When you send them this money, they immediately block you or don't respond to your messages and calls.

In some scenarios, after scammers take a fee from you, they conduct three days of training and teach you that you will be given an ad that you have to post in different Facebook groups. Also, you have to create 3 to 5 fake OLX accounts and post this ad on them too.

If anyone joins after seeing your ad and pays the registration or training fee, you will get 50% commission from this money. That is, you are given training to become a scammer so that you can surround as many innocent people as possible.

Fake Government Registered Certificates

To gain people's trust, these people say that our company is approved by FBR, SECP, or the Government of Pakistan, and for proof, they also send you certificates on WhatsApp. These are fake and created with Photoshop.

How to beaware of fake online jobs?

Asking Money:

• No company in the world asks for money to keep an employee on the job, whether it's a registration fee or a training fee.

Fake Registered:

• If the company claims to be registered with the government, ask for the company's real location, website, the personal information of the CEO, and social media profiles. If they don't provide it, then stay away from this. It's a fraud.

Attractive Salary:

• If you read anywhere that you can earn 50,000 to 70,000 rupees monthly by working in your free time for 2 to 3 hours daily, and cashout your payment daily into your account.
